Rich Products UK is seeking a Hygiene/Cleaning Operative for the night shift (1900–0700, Fri and Sat, 12-hour shifts). The role focuses on maintaining hygiene standards in manufacturing areas, following cleaning instructions, and handling chemicals safely.

The position includes base pay of £16,846 per year plus £1,200 per year shift pay. Applicants should have numeracy and good communication skills; food manufacturing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hygiene standards in manufacturing areas are maintained and cleaning activities follow instructions.

• Hand back areas/equipment once work is completed and approved as fit for purpose.

PURPOSE STATEMENT

• To ensure hygiene standards are maintained in the manufacturing areas to enable safe production of foods with accordance to company standard.

The hours for this role are 1900 - 0700 Friday and Saturday night 12 hour shifts

The pay is £16846.00 per annum plus £1200.00 per annum shift pay

Key Accountabilities/Outcomes

• Ensure that all cleaning activities are carried out with accordance to company cleaning instruction cards within the determined cleaning frequency.
• Ensuring all cleaning chemical preparation and dilution are with accordance with company cleaning instruction cards and correct chemical usage for the application.
• Ensure that the correct cleaning equipments and materials are used for the determined cleaning activities.
• Ensuring all cleaning records are completed to company standard and any non conformity are raised accordly with the Technical Services Manger.
• Ensure that upon completion of scheduled work, the area(s) / item(s) / machinery etc is handed back and signed off as fit for purpose by Production Line Manager.
• Ensure that all hygiene stock is adequately maintained and the correctly replenishment.
• Assist in cleaning chemicals and material stock taking.
• All duties must comply with COSHH regulations and correct PPE are worn during all activities.
• Ensure handling and storage of, chemicals, raw materials and end products comply with company, quality, safety and legal standards.
• Report any pest issue or cleaning equipment defect to the Technical Services Manager immediately.
