Job description

deVOL Kitchens is one of the leading and most highly regarded kitchen companies in the UK, with manufacturing and design offices based in Leicestershire, London, New York, and Bath. We are looking for a highly motivated and capable person to join our rapidly growing team of machinists at our Shepshed workshop.

The job will include, but is not limited to -

- Setting and operating a wide belt sanding machine.
- Smoothing and finishing of wooden and lacquered surfaces.
- Heavy lifting of material.
- Feeding and unloading work material into and out from the sander.
- Checking and maintaining the high quality of the finished material.
- Learning how to put the finished edge onto shelves.

We would love you to -

- Be technically minded.
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
- Have the ability to work well both in a small team and independently.
- Have good time management skills.
- Be a good communicator and a hard worker.
- Be flexible around changes in work tasks at short notice.
- Some experience as a wood machinist would be advantageous but not essential.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, and during your first year, you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed.

After this, we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
