Job description

Customer Tasting Hub Facilitator

Contract: 12 months

Rate: 13.36 per hour

Hours: Saturdays only

Location: In-store, Sandhurst

We are looking for someone who has previously worked in the food industry, ability to cook basic products via back of pack instructions and someone who enjoys engaging with customers. You'll be welcoming customers and engaging in taste tests with them. You'll be adhering to strict Health and Hygiene policies and working within a small team. Full training for this role.

Skills:

  • Friendly, engaging and happy to talk to people and welcome them into the hub
  • Able to hold conversation and interact with customers
  • Excellent customer approach
  • Previous experience in a customer engagement environment is necessary.
  • Previously worked in the food industry
  • IT skills an advantage (for tracking info and results)
  • Full training will be provided including food hygiene course.

What you do:

Recruiting shoppers from the store shop floor and inviting them to take part in blind tastings.

Preparing the food for the tasting. Ensure that safe and legal protocols are adhered to at all times.

Working within a team of people either in store or in mobile locations to conduct untrained customer panels on various products.

  • Includes recruiting customers, using questionnaires and asking questions face to face to gather responses on the performance of various products
  • Driving to other stores for shopping
  • Working methodically to follow methods & routines & using the correct tools to handle, prepare & cook both raw & cooked products for presentation to customers
  • Working to achieve team targets & deliver department workload by contributing equally & supporting colleagues
  • Recording & presenting data accurately on databases & spreadsheets
  • Attending planned training days & achieving the required pass score to ensure skills & knowledge are maintained
  • Supporting the Quality Team by conducting other ad-hoc customer testing when requested
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
