Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join a large, multi-site organisation in Manchester. The role focuses on SAN storage and Active Directory within a predominantly on-prem environment, with hands-on project work and steady operational support.

You will join a growing team covering over 90 sites and 1,000+ servers, contributing to upgrades, migrations, installations and lifecycle management. A full UK driving licence and SC clearance eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAN/storage experience is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
• Experience as Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar.
• Based within a commutable distance of Manchester; driving licence required.
• Eligibility to obtain SC clearance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer SAN and enterprise storage environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory.
• Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, migrations and improvement projects.
• Support physical and virtual server environments.
• Assist with server builds, installations, patching and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with a large national team of infrastructure engineers.
