Job description

What will I be doing?

The main part of your role will involve collecting representative samples from incoming feed stock to plant, sorting into the various categories of target materials, recyclable but non-target materials & non-recyclable materials.

The role will include:

  • Accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Collecting representative samples from outgoing products (paper, steel, plastics etc) to ensure quality levels are met/exceeded.
  • To accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft programmes such as Excel.
  • Tracking the number of samples for both incoming and outgoing materials to ensure that the site does not fall short of the requirements of legislation.

  • The successful candidate will need to be computer literate, and any previous experience in the waste/recycling or similar industry would be advantageous.
