Job summary

KPI Recruiting is seeking a Sample Technician based in Chester to support production, sampling and quality checks in a manufacturing environment. You will measure, mix and prepare samples, follow detailed formulations and maintain accurate records. Training is provided, with a temp-perm opportunity based on performance and reliability.

Working Hours and Days

• Monday- Friday
• Monday- Thursday 08:30- 16:00
• Friday 08:00- 16:00

Pay Rate

• £12.71- £13.00 p/h

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to accurately measure, mix, and prepare samples according to detailed formulations
• Strong focus on precision to ensure consistent and accurate sample preparation
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in handling ingredients
• Proficiency in maintaining records, labelling, and tracking sample batches
• Ability to interpret written instructions and provide updates on sample progress
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper handling of food‑grade ingredients and cleaning standards
• Maintain a clean and organised working area
• Follow all site safety, hygiene and quality procedures

Ideal Candidate

• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and repeat a process consistently
• Basic numeracy (reading weights, measurements, etc)
• Reliable, punctual and steady working approach
• Able to work independently once fully trained
• Experience in manufacturing, food, lab, chemical or production environments is helpful but not essential
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper handling or food‑grade ingredients and cleaning standards would be a benefit but not required
• Full training provided
• Temp‑ perm opportunity based on performance and reliability
