Job Description:
Quantori is seeking a Sample Management Systems Expert with extensive expertise in agricultural or life sciences research to join our project for two months. This individual will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Titian Mosaic versions 7–9, with deep understanding of sample lifecycle management, lab workflows, and system integration. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical, analytical, and architectural skills, and the ability to lead the evolution of our sample management infrastructure—either by modernizing Mosaic or architecting a new solution from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the SME for Titian Mosaic (v7, 9)—help to optimize its usage, integrations, and workflows across multiple labs and scientific domains.
- Support the design of the architecture of a new or modernized sample management system to meet current and future R&D needs.
- Leverage knowledge of Mosaic APIs to drive automation, integration, and extensibility with other platforms (LIMS, ELN, SDMS, etc.).
- Conduct detailed analysis of current sample management workflows; gather and refine requirements in collaboration with scientists, logistics, and IT teams.
- Evaluate alternative or complementary modern sample management platforms and contribute to system selection processes.
- Translate lab requirements into technical specs and user stories for development/configuration teams.
- Participate in testing, validation, documentation, and user training.
What we expect:
- Proven expertise in scientific sample management systems; with a focus on Titian Mosaic (v7–9).
- Proven understanding of sample handling, tracking, registration, chain-of-custody, and regulatory concerns in agri-tech, biotech, or pharma.
- Experience with Mosaic APIs and integration strategies with external systems.
- Strong business analysis (BA) skills—able to facilitate workshops, map workflows, document requirements, and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Capable of thinking at the system architecture level—designing scalable, configurable solutions for scientific sample logistics.
- Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Agricultural Sciences or equivalent industry experience with a focus on sample management roles
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with modern sample management tools such as Benchling, LabWare, or Labguru.
- Understanding of logistics, storage, and temperature-controlled sample transport in a regulated environment.
