Job Title: Salon Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £38,700-£40,000 per year

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the salon team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  2. Develop and implement creative strategies to diversify and enhance the salon's beauty services.
  3. Train and mentor staff in new beauty techniques, ensuring high-quality service.
  4. Create unique beauty treatments and nail designs, staying current with industry trends.
  5. Oversee daily operations, including client appointments, inventory, and staff scheduling.
  6. Collaborate to maintain and grow a loyal client base.
  7. Participate in marketing and promotional activities to support salon growth.
  8. Lead recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
  9. Contribute to developing the salon's curated collection of beauty products and services.
  10. Facilitate inclusion of Asian beauty treatments and products, recognizing the importance of diverse beauty practices.
  11. Ensure a range of services catering to the Asian market, including popular treatments and styles.
  12. Work with suppliers to source high-quality products appealing to the Asian demographic.
  13. Stay informed about Asian beauty trends and integrate them into offerings.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a Salon Manager focusing on creativity and innovation.
  2. Ability to create diverse and unique beauty treatments and nail designs.
  3. Passion for training and developing staff skills.
  4. Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Experience in a beauty or nail technician role is highly desirable.
  7. NVQ Level 5 Beauty Therapy or equivalent is preferred (not essential).
  8. Familiarity with industry trends and commitment to staying current with techniques.
  9. Understanding of Asian beauty practices and trends.
  10. Experience developing treatments and products for the Asian market.
  11. Ability to source and incorporate products popular within the Asian community.
  12. Sensitivity to cultural preferences and staff training accordingly.
  13. Speaking Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, or Korean is advantageous but not mandatory.
