Job summary

Smile Education are seeking a Physics Teacher to join a secondary school in Salford. The role covers KS3-KS4 with planning and marking responsibilities. This is a long-term placement rather than daily cover, with an ASAP start and a reduced timetable to focus on pupil progress and continuity of learning.

The successful candidate will be a Physics specialist with recent UK secondary school experience, enhanced DBS, and the right to work in the UK. QTS is desirable.

Qualifications

• You must be a Physics specialist.
• Recent experience teaching Physics in a UK secondary school is required.
• Experience with long-term placements is essential.
• You must be confident with planning, marking and pupil progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Physics across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Mark work and provide feedback to pupils.
• Support pupils towards GCSE Physics outcomes.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching where required.
• Work closely with the wider Science department.
• Maintain consistency across a long-term placement.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school expectations.
