Job description

Salary + Benefits: £35000 - £40000 per annum

Our client is looking for a confident and effective senior Salesperson to join their busy Sales and Estimating Team operating at their offices in St. Neots. This is a great opportunity to join a small, effective team with a varied workload, in a friendly atmosphere. This role will provide the opportunity to develop and broaden your experience and skills with new challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership of the sales team by example, providing regular guidance, feedback and support to motivate and ensure the high performance of the sales team.
  2. Managing your own workload and that of the sales team, delegating responsibility and authority as required within the department.
  3. Agreeing departmental and individual sales and gross margin targets with the Managing Director.
  4. Implement and report progress of sales plans that will achieve the expected business growth results in terms of turnover and profit from new and existing customers.
  5. Work with the Managing Director to agree the pricing strategy.
  6. Maintenance of a strong sales pipeline to ensure the company takes full advantage of business opportunities.
  7. Building the sales team capabilities by ensuring correct application of company processes and policies.
  8. Coordination and management of Monthly Sales Meetings and weekly team briefings.
  9. Provision of in-depth customer technical support on a full range of products.
Requirements and Skills
  1. Experience in the glass and glazing industry essential.
  2. Proven experience in a proactive, customer-orientated sales or estimating environment.
  3. High competency level with Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Outgoing personality, enjoys speaking to customers on the phone and able to build excellent relationships.
  5. Motivated by targets; able to evidence experience of consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs.
  6. Previous experience of working well in a team and supporting others.

Hours: Full time - 38 hours per week - no remote working.
