Job description
Job Title: Salesforce Technical Consultant

Capgemini works with some of the world’s largest brands, in some of the most interesting and complex projects posed in modern IT. The Salesforce Delivery Unit is one of the fastest growing areas within Capgemini UK and focuses on helping our clients achieve business value through the use of Salesforce.com, the world’s number one cloud-based CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution.

As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you’ll be working across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, from Consumer Products, Utilities, Automotive to Telecommunications. You’ll be working with our clients to transform their business using the Salesforce.com platform with one of the largest ecosystems of Salesforce apps.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role
  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce Functional Consultants to design and build tailored client solutions.
  • Serve as a Salesforce SME within the DCX practice, contributing to capability building—leveraging AI-driven tools like Agentforce to support solution design, accelerate delivery, and enhance team productivity.
  • Develop on the Salesforce platform using a mix of declarative and programmatic tools, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and JavaScript.
  • Support agile delivery teams and contribute to DevOps best practices (e.g., using Copado, Flosum, Gearset, AzureDevops).
  • Work directly with clients, building your consulting skills in communication, design thinking, and stakeholder engagement.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini, building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality.

Your skills and experience

Working closely with clients, you’ll analyze exactly what they need. Then you’ll design and develop the right solution to exceed their expectations using your technical Salesforce configuration and coding.

  • Salesforce technical experience covering one or more of the main clouds, Sales, Service, or Commerce. Experience of project work with one of LWC, Vlocity, or Field Service Lightning
  • Experience with working on large complex end-user or client projects involving several hundred Salesforce end-users
  • Hold certifications in Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II, JavaScript Developer I, and at least one Consultant-level credential, with a strong commitment to continuous learning through additional certifications or Trailhead Superbadges in progress.
  • Experience of agile project delivery and working as part of a team of highly skilled Salesforce developers
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, issues, concepts, and solutions to clients and executive project stakeholders.
Your security clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks will be required. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

What does ‘Get The Future You Want’ mean for you?

You will be empowered to explore, innovate, and progress. You will benefit from Capgemini’s ‘learning for life’ mindset, meaning you will have countless training and development opportunities from thinktanks to hackathons, and access to 250,000 courses with numerous external certifications.

Why you should consider Capgemini

Growing clients’ businesses while building a more sustainable, more inclusive future is a tough ask. When you join Capgemini, you’ll join a thriving company and become part of a collective of free-thinkers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts.
