Team – Member Active Engagement - IT
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Our Salesforce Software Engineers play a critical role in Vitality’s successful business model by building and maintaining Salesforce and its associated integrations. They ensure quality and timely delivery of seamless, intuitive customer journeys.
Software Engineers work independently to support the development, delivery, and maintenance of Vitality software products. They may also support and coach Associate Software Engineers.
Key Actions:
- Implement the software development life cycle: Build, maintain, test, deliver, release, and document user-friendly, customer-centric software solutions. Write clean, secure, and well-tested software, with clear documentation and automation support.
- Deliver to standards: Understand and apply Vitality’s technical and process standards. Manage risks and protect data effectively. Guide colleagues in standards adherence.
- Provide integrated solutions: Develop user-focused, strategically aligned, and well-integrated solutions across teams and platforms. Support testing and process improvements.
- Engage stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and propose solutions. Facilitate meetings and gather requirements.
- Build and transfer skills: Develop personal skills in Salesforce and modern technologies. Support junior engineers’ growth through coaching and sharing knowledge.
- Collaborate within and across teams: Work effectively with diverse teams to achieve objectives.
Essential Skills:
- Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certifications
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM)
- Practical experience configuring Salesforce (coded and declarative)
- Strong Salesforce Administration knowledge (permissions & sharing)
- Proficiency in Apex, Aura, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flows
- Experience integrating with third-party applications via REST APIs and middleware
