Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking an experienced Information Security professional to join a major transformation in the UK. You will lead risk assessments, advise on regulatory requirements, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and risk teams to embed security into delivery.

This role requires strong communication, CISSP expertise, and a deep understanding of security controls in financial services. You will shape the security posture of critical systems in a flexible, hybrid environment,

Qualifications

• Experience in information security with hands-on risk assessments.
• Ability to communicate complex security topics to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with risk management and the 3LoD model in financial services.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, product, compliance, and business teams.
• Awareness of data protection and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk and control assessments using bank processes, including privacy impact assessments.
• Provide advisory on Information Security best practice and regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
• Develop deep knowledge of secure change processes and assist in approval gates.
• Build trusted relationships with developers, testers, product managers, and delivery leads.
• Identify security risks and propose practical, timely mitigations with the team.
