Role: Salesforce Practice Sales Leader

Job Description

The Salesforce Practice Sales leader is a dynamic and outcome-driven leader with a proven track record for successfully defining go-to-market strategies for Salesforce practice in different industries in the United Kingdom. They will navigate a matrixed, cross-functional team, build relationships with customers and market units, lead pre-sales and sales teams, and define and deploy strategies that anticipate future opportunities, mitigate environmental challenges, and ensure a competitive advantage in the US marketplace.

This Salesforce leader is also a major contributor to the continued growth of the company by playing a fundamental role in bringing in-depth knowledge of Salesforce products, industry network, and connections, ensuring success across multiple large existing programs and contracts. They collaborate globally, across functions and industries, and build executive relationships with internal account teams, as well as with external stakeholders, to deliver a business strategy centered on delivery excellence and operational success.

Requirements

  1. Deep understanding and working experience with Salesforce field teams and their partner ecosystem.
  2. Strong understanding and working experience in Salesforce products and go-to-market strategies.
  3. Deep experience with Salesforce professional services delivery and P&L management.
  4. Both visionary and pragmatic, able to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
  5. Extensive experience with offshore and near-shore operations.
  6. Team player able to lead and work effectively at all levels of an organization - including executive leadership - with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
  7. Strong situational analysis, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  8. Ability to multitask while managing deadlines, perform well under pressure, work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Detail and quality-oriented with the desire to quickly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  1. BA/BS degree or foreign equivalent; MBA a plus.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Salesforce consulting and professional services, including experience in a matrixed environment in positions of increasing responsibility.
  3. 5+ years of sales roles in the US market, carrying $40M+ sales targets.
  4. 5+ years of Salesforce delivery and/or implementation preferred.
  5. Extensive, proven, and recent experience building and leading large, high-performing teams.
  6. Successful track record leading go-to-market activities and organizational change management.
  7. Strong executive presence and deep industry knowledge of one or more industry sectors.
  8. Understands cloud-based technologies; translates customer/business requirements into business solutions (and successfully positions with customers).
  9. Ability to travel; up to 75%.
