Job Summary:

Quintessentially is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Salesforce Manager to support the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce platform. The role will report to the Salesforce Product Manager and act as a strong second-in-command within a small Salesforce team, taking ownership of day‑to‑day support, complex issues, requirements gathering, solution design and delivery of platform enhancements and projects.

This is not a purely administrative role. The Salesforce Manager will be expected to combine strong Salesforce administration and configuration skills with project delivery, stakeholder management and practical solution design. The role is suited to someone who is comfortable working in a lean environment, switching between operational tickets and project work, and proactively taking responsibility for moving work forward without heavy supervision.

Quintessentially has used Salesforce as its CRM since 2008. We use Salesforce Service Cloud with elements of Sales Cloud, as well as Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Salesforce Product Manager to scope, design, document and deliver efficient, scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Take ownership of day‑to‑day Salesforce administration, including user support, configuration changes, data quality, access management and issue resolution.
  • Manage and resolve more complex Salesforce tickets, escalating to the Salesforce Product Manager or Developer where appropriate.
  • Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders, translating business needs into clear functional requirements and practical Salesforce solutions.
  • Deliver small and medium‑sized Salesforce enhancements and projects independently, from discovery through to testing, deployment and user adoption.
  • Maintain user accounts, roles, profiles, sharing rules, assignment rules, queues, permission sets and related access controls.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce Flows, validation rules, reports, dashboards and other declarative automation.
  • Support the management and prioritisation of the Salesforce backlog, helping to assess new requests and clarify impact, dependencies and effort.
  • Document functional and technical processes, configuration decisions, governance controls and support procedures.
  • Maintain and support third‑party integrations, working with internal technical teams and vendors where required.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for scheduled Salesforce releases.
  • Collaborate with users, stakeholders and the development team to test and verify solutions through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior or less experienced Salesforce resources where applicable, although this role is not expected to have formal line management responsibility.
  • Proactively communicate progress, risks, workload constraints and delivery timelines to stakeholders and the Salesforce Product Manager.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce experience, ideally across Salesforce administration, configuration, support and project delivery.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud is essential; experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud is desirable.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) is required; Advanced Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder or similar certifications are desirable.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions and translate business needs into practical Salesforce solutions.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining complex Flows and declarative automation. Visualforce or Apex knowledge is a plus, but this is primarily a configuration‑led role.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, including profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing models and access controls.
  • Experience supporting a live production Salesforce environment, including incident resolution, system maintenance and release readiness.
  • Experience with data migration and data management tools such as Data Loader, including proficiency in SOQL.
  • Ability to create useful reports, dashboards and operational insights for business users and leadership stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Good documentation discipline and the ability to explain processes, configuration and decisions clearly.
  • Experience working within PCI DSS, GDPR or other regulated / compliance‑conscious environments is desirable.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Advanced Excel skills are desirable. Basic HTML knowledge is useful; CSS is a plus.
  • Willingness to work from the London office 3 days per week and participate in out‑of‑hours support where required.
Ideal Profile:
  • A strong Salesforce professional who has operated in a small or lean team and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • Someone who can move between hands‑on administration, project delivery, stakeholder engagement and solution design without losing momentum.
  • A proactive deputy to the Salesforce Product Manager who can reduce key‑person dependency and take meaningful ownership from day one.
  • A pragmatic problem‑solver who can balance scalability, governance, user experience and delivery speed.
Hours of work:

Contractual hours are from 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday. Different or additional hours may be necessary from time to time to fulfil the duties of the role.

On‑call requirement:

Requirement to be on call outside working hours in case of service‑related emergency.
