About the Role

As a Manager of Software Engineering at J.P. Morgan Chase, within the International Consumer Bank, you will lead a team of Salesforce engineers. You will guide technical decisions, influence the architecture, and deliver sustainable customer-focused solutions. Your work will involve developing standalone products on Salesforce and integrating them with Nutmeg services to provide an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of Salesforce engineers within the Invest Tribe, focusing on the Salesforce CRM area for Chase UK.
  2. Set clear objectives, support team development, and strengthen the team’s delivery capabilities.
  3. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code, providing constructive feedback to team members.
  4. Contribute hands-on to the development of key features, setting an example for best practices and technical excellence.
  5. Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  6. Collaborate with product managers to align technical efforts with business goals and deliver impactful results.
  7. Facilitate team meetings and retrospectives to encourage open communication and resolve challenges.
  8. Work with Technical Leads to design scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  9. Use data to establish and track metrics for delivery, system health, and customer journeys.
  10. Promote a culture of quality engineering and implement best practices within the team and across the organization.
  11. Own major architecture decisions for Salesforce and guide the team through technical governance processes for approvals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Proven experience in leading Salesforce engineering teams.
  2. Strong technical background and the ability to influence architectural decisions.
  3. Experience in team management, mentoring, and developing talent.
  4. Expertise in Salesforce CRM, including Service, Sales, and Marketing Cloud.
  5. Hands-on experience with Salesforce integration via REST APIs and event-based services.
  6. Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  7. Ability to translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
  8. Focus on creating clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and marketing cloud.
  2. Knowledge of data modeling and process modeling tools.
  3. Familiarity with AI/ML technologies in the CRM space.
  4. Multiple Salesforce certifications.
