The Salesforce Engineer is a skilled administrator with some platform development experience, who supports the technical configuration and enhancement of Salesforce to meet business needs in security, functionality, and performance. This role involves hands-on responsibilities for building and maintaining elements of the Salesforce core platform, particularly Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Omnistudio on Financial Services Cloud - ensuring development follows Salesforce best practice. Working under the direction of the Platform Manager, the Engineer may also contribute to the design and delivery of custom solutions that address organisational requirements. They will collaborate with colleagues across the business to support effective platform usage and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Some of the great things you’ll be doing:
Collaborate and Deliver: Work closely with Customer Operations and Product teams to understand needs and deliver solutions that support key business outcomes.
Solution Builder & Technical Guide: Deliver platform capabilities that drive customer outcomes. Use your skills in Lightning, Flow and Apex (desirable) to build custom solutions, deciding when to use declarative versus programmatic approaches.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharer: Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials, supporting long-term knowledge sharing and platform sustainability.
Security Advocate: Manage user permissions and uphold information security standards for both internal and third-party users, promoting a controlled and secure environment

What we’d like to see from you:
Expertise in Salesforce Core Features: Hands-on experience with Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Omnistudio (desirable) particularly in building workflows, processes and case management.

Multi-business units: Experience working on a single Salesforce org supporting multiple business units with distinct requirements, leveraging features such as record types, page layouts and permission sets to tailor the functionality and user experience.

Advanced expertise in Salesforce Flow with proficiency in Apex and experience of Lightning Web Components would be desirable.

Proficient in CI/CD practices and tools (desirable): ensuring efficient workflows and streamlined development processes.
Ideally certified in Salesforce: holding relevant certifications such as Administrator or Platform App Developer.
Skilled in other Salesforce technologies and their integration: bringing a broad understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem.
Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex technical topics: effectively engaging non-technical stakeholders.
Experienced in collaborative work across technical and non-technical communities: fostering productive and inclusive interactions.
Regulatory Awareness: Accustomed to working in regulated environments with a strong focus on data privacy and data security.
