Job summary

PA Consulting seeks an experienced Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant to shape growth in the Higher Education practice. You will deliver Salesforce solutions for universities, guiding recruitment, admissions, enrolment and student success while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

You will lead discovery workshops, translate business needs into Salesforce designs and help establish connected digital ecosystems across institutions. Hybrid work with client sites is expected.

The Role

We are investing in a strategic Salesforce Higher Education practice and are looking for an experienced Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant to help shape its growth and success.

Working with leading universities and higher education providers, you will deliver impactful Salesforce solutions that improve student experiences, strengthen institutional engagement and support long‑term digital transformation. You will combine strong Salesforce expertise with consulting skills and sector knowledge to become a trusted advisor to our clients and a key contributor to our growing Salesforce capability.

You will:

• Lead requirements gathering, discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement activities across Higher Education transformation programmes.
• Design and deliver Salesforce Education Cloud solutions that support recruitment, admissions, enrolment, student success, wellbeing and alumni engagement.
• Work with clients to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and define future‑state operating models.
• Configure and implement Salesforce solutions, working closely with architects, developers and delivery teams.
• Support programmes that utilise the wider Salesforce ecosystem, including Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and other Salesforce platform capabilities.
• Help clients establish connected digital ecosystems through integration with Student Record Systems, Learning Management Systems, identity management platforms and enterprise applications.
• Support data migration, data quality and governance activities to ensure successful platform adoption and long‑term business value.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders by providing expert advice on Salesforce capabilities, industry best practice and platform strategy.
• Contribute to bids, proposals, demonstrations and client presentations, helping grow our Salesforce Higher Education practice.
• Contribute to the development of reusable assets and delivery accelerators that improve delivery quality and strengthen our reputation within the Higher Education sector.
• Share knowledge and support the development of junior team members where appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential requirements

• Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant.
• Experience delivering Salesforce implementation programmes in a consultant, business analyst or functional consultant capacity.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce Education Cloud.
• Experience working with Higher Education institutions or education‑focused transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of the student lifecycle, including recruitment, admissions, enrolment, retention, student support and alumni engagement.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements and translate business needs into effective Salesforce solutions.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders at multiple levels of an organisation.
• Experience supporting data migration, integration and change adoption activities.
• Understanding of Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices, including source control, release management and deployment tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Copado or Gearset.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• A pragmatic, outcome‑focused approach to solving complex business challenges.
• Certifications in Business Analyst, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, AI Associate, Agentforce Specialist or Platform Developer I.
• Experience delivering solutions across the Salesforce platform, including Experience Cloud and Service Cloud. Exposure to Data Cloud, Agentforce and Marketing Cloud would be advantageous.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms using MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Boomi or similar middleware technologies.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled customer, student or employee engagement solutions.
• Experience working with Higher Education platforms including Tribal SITS, Ellucian Banner, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard or similar solutions.
• Experience with reporting and analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience working within a consulting, systems integration or professional services environment.
