Job summary

Exalto Consulting in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to join an established organisation focused on developing and optimising its Salesforce platform. You will work hands-on across the full development lifecycle, building new functionality, integrations and platform improvements.

The role involves supporting platform administration, security and governance, managing sandboxes, deployments, and mentoring other engineers while contributing to technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Apex and Lightning Web Components experience.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems.
• Good understanding of Salesforce security, platform limits and performance.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Salesforce Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications would be beneficial.
• Experience with Marketing Cloud, Azure services or data pipelines would be useful but isn’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce and Flow.
• Build and maintain custom Salesforce applications.
• Integrate Salesforce with external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware and ETL tools.
• Decide between standard Salesforce functionality and custom development.
• Support platform administration, security and governance across users, roles, profiles and permission sets.
• Manage sandbox environments, releases and deployments using Git, Salesforce tooling and CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and support production environments.
• Maintain technical documentation around configuration, integrations and data models.
• Support and mentor other members of the engineering team.
