Salary starting from £41,593 depending on experience
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking to build their career in a fast-paced Sales environment, supporting senior Account Managers and Perkins Distributors to drive Perkins Engine sales. Reporting to the Perkins Distribution Engine Sales Manager for EAME within the Sales, Marketing, Service & Parts group, you will play a key role in supporting sales activities across the Europe, Africa and Middle East region.
In this role, you will contribute to the achievement of annual engine sales targets and business metrics through a Business-to-Business (B2B) approach with key distributors and customers. You will receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced team of Account Managers to support your development and success.
The successful candidate will excel at building strong customer relationships and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. Through effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, you will help resolve customer issues, drive customer satisfaction, and contribute to achieving business objectives while making a meaningful impact on the business.
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
