Job description

Sales Representative / Field Sales Executive who is personable, organised with great time-management and client facing / customer service skills is required to develop new business opportunities within the hydroponic and horticultural equipment and services industry. Previous hydroponic experience preferred, but not essential.

SALARY: £30,000 per annum / £40,000 OTE (includes basic)

LOCATION: Candidates can be based anywhere in North England

TERRITORY COVERED: North of England including Scotland

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sales Representative / Field Sales Executive who is personable, organised with great time-management and client facing / customer service skills.

Working as the Sales Representative / Field Sales Executive you will visit businesses in the North of England and Scotland to present and sell the company’s range of products and services to new and existing customers.

As the Sales Representative / Field Sales Executive you will need excellent client account management skills with the ability to upsell and develop new business opportunities.

As a successful candidate you will enjoy working out in the field, visiting new prospects and managing your existing accounts. If you can sell, develop new business and have great client account management skills then we’d love to hear from you.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Sales Representative / Field Sales Executive include:

• Present and sell company products and services to current clients and potential new accounts

• Responsible for developing a sales strategy and action plan for the region, annually and by month

• Report back to the business details of competitor activity, new product introductions and potential business opportunities for the business

• Develop and maintain current client and potential client relationships

• Be the main point of contact and identify and resolve client concerns

• Participate in weekly and monthly sales meeting and submit weekly visit reports

• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff

• Work closely with the sales desk team to ensure excellent customer service

• Participate in marketing events such as trade shows. (Trade shows are up to 3 times per year, and may fall on a weekend, outside of the UK.)

• Recommend promotions, changes in product, services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments

• Responsible and accountable for achieving monthly and annual sales goals

• Achieve the framework of 4 customer visits per day, along with admin time provided

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous sales experience required

• Hydroponic Industry knowledge highly preferred

• Strong understanding of customers’ requirements and market dynamics

• Ability to persuade and influence others with strong interpersonal communication skills

• Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public

• Daily travel required – company car provided

• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule with overnight stay when required
