Job description

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturer based in NI. Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join their team. As Sales Representative, you will play a key role in managing and growing a portfolio of accounts across Ireland. This is a predominantly field-based role, ideal for someone with technical sales experience and hands-on approach to developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and closing sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a selection of existing customer accounts, maximising revenue growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular on-site customer visits to nurture relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share.
  • Prepare and deliver pitches, quotations, and product specifications
  • Lead engagement at trade shows and industry events.
  • Deliver training and product demonstrations at customer sites.
  • Ensure effective territory planning and time management to maximise reach and efficiency.

Essential Criteria and Qualifications

  • Have 3-5 years' B2B sales experience with a proven track record in meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Experience in a technical sales role is essential, with experience in fluid power engineering considered a strong advantage.
  • Be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience required in a technical sales role, advantageous to have experience in the fluid power engineering
  • Be confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ideally possess knowledge of plant & machinery, hydraulic systems experience is advantageous.
  • Be able to scope customer requirements, specify suitable products, and create accurate quotations.
