Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Field Sales Representative to join a team of professionals. We are looking for someone to cover an already established area around the West Midlands and Wales. This is a full-time role working 35 hours a week.

We have over 52 years’ experience working with the NHS in print and packaging. We are specialist suppliers to major hospitals and laboratories throughout the UK & Ireland. As a company we believe it is very important to invest time to train and support all our employees with ongoing continual help.

The ideal candidate would ideally be based in or around the West Midland area, i.e. Birmingham and its outer areas and have a good sales background. They must have excellent communication and organisational skills along with good time management and the ability to work on their own initiative. They must be able to build good working relationships and enjoy a challenge, as it can take a while to achieve an order in this market. We are looking for you to gain new business at the same time as maintaining current business. A medical background is not necessary.

The average working week would consist of approx. 4 days working from home and 1 day out on hospital appointments. There would be occasional overnight stays involved a few times a year, when required. You would also be required to visit the Office for Sales meetings several times a year. They must have their own car for which the company offers a generous mileage allowance.

The successful applicant will report to the Field Sales Manager.

The Field Sales Representative would require the following attributes:

  • Previous experience working as a Field Sales representative.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good at negotiating skills
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative.
