Sales Receptionist (Part-time) – Isle of Wight

The Role

We are looking for a Sales Receptionist to play a critical role in providing a first-class experience to members, prospective members and visitors to our health club. You must have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to assist in the management of day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the general running of all aspects of the club with specific emphasis on the sale of new memberships and ensuring all members are having a great experience whilst members of the club.

This is a part-time position with scope for growth to full-time. Shifts will be based on requirements of the club, would be looking for someone flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Your daily focus will involve:

  • Growing a pipeline of new prospects, drive new membership sales and retain existing members
  • Create an excellent first impression of the gym by providing a warm welcome, tidy appearance, and pleasant manner at all times
  • Provide exceptional customer service experience to all members and guests
  • Greet members and users of the gym as they come through reception
  • Check in members where required and verify membership details
  • Register prospective members and guide them to the correct person
  • Enrol new members and assist current members with their queries
  • Provide information on classes and availability
  • Handle questions about renewal and cancellation of memberships
  • Ensure the safety and security of members, guests, and staff at all times
  • Handle telephone enquiries and support the Gym Manager with member retention calls
  • Record and keep clear and accurate records of all queries, complaints, lost property, and repairs and ensure the information is delegated to, and resolved by relevant staff
  • Strong process driven focus on ensuring the day to day tasks in the gym are completed, emails are answered and phone calls are acted upon
  • Undertake other duties, such as keeping on top of cleaning duties etc
