Sales & Production Co-Ordinator

Element Bespoke Jewellery

Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small team in our showroom and workshop office.

Our team is friendly and small. On Saturdays, you will work alongside our Sales Team in the showroom, and during the week, you will support our two goldsmiths with administrative tasks related to our jewellery production.

The ideal candidate will have a love for fine jewellery and will be responsible for liaising with customers throughout their bespoke journey with us.

We require a commitment of five days a week, with at least two Saturday shifts per month.

Responsibilities

Full training will be provided, including a month-long handover with our current staff to ensure confidence in all areas:

  • Communicating with new and existing customers via email, including quoting for bespoke jewellery pieces.
  • Assisting customers in the shop with bespoke jewellery inquiries, including design and quoting.
  • Managing social media promotion and website content, including blog posts and scheduling posts to promote our business, and responding to customer inquiries and comments.
  • Macro photography of jewellery using a DSLR camera and editing in Lightroom.
  • Uploading new products to the website, creating product descriptions, and optimizing for SEO.
  • Creating newsletters using Mailchimp or Flodesk.
  • Collaborating with our local CAD designer to create models, relaying customer amendments.
  • Building relationships with local suppliers, including trips around the Jewellery Quarter for collections and deliveries.
  • Assisting with ordering and purchasing of diamonds, gemstones, and materials.
  • Recording incoming and outgoing post via UPS & Royal Mail accurately.
  • Creating insurance valuations for bespoke jewellery items.
Requirements
  • Experience in the jewellery trade.
  • Fluent in English with confident, friendly communication skills, including strong written English for email correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure orders are correctly noted and entered into our systems, and clearly communicated to our goldsmiths.
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows & Mac, Outlook, Excel, Word, and familiarity with stock label printing and POS systems (full training provided).
  • Exceptional customer service skills face-to-face, over the phone, and via email.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Comfortable working in a busy and occasionally noisy environment.
  • Keen interest in developing knowledge about diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery manufacturing.
What We Offer
  • Working hours: 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am - 4.30pm on Saturdays.
  • Annual salary of £30,000 for a five-day workweek.
  • Minimum of two Saturday shifts per month.
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
