About iRock

Founded in 2016 by father and son team John and Josh Franklin, iRock School of Music is built on a belief in the power of music to unleash creativity, potential, and passion in every child. What started in a garden shed is now teaching thousands of children in hundreds of schools across the UK, making a real impact on students' confidence and teamwork skills through rock and pop band lessons.

At iRock, we don’t just teach music—we inspire and change lives. Our workplace culture reflects these values: fun, honest, supportive, and inspiring. You'll be joining a company that encourages innovation, values diverse learning styles, and understands the importance of creative expression.

The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced sales leader with a passion for coaching teams, implementing sales cycle strategies, and driving fast growth? At iRock School of Music, we’re looking for a dynamic Sales Performance Manager to lead, inspire and elevate our expanding team of Sales Executives and Brand Representatives.
This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of performance across the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure. You'll manage and grow both a field and office-based team, help refine our sales processes and work closely with other departments to drive ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and take ownership of the full sales cycle from generating and nurturing leads to closing deals

  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure high communication and transparency on growth
  • Analyse cold-calling and field sales strategies to identify ways to improve conversion
  • Lead the expansion of the team in line with company growth plans

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Manage, coach and develop a large team of office and field-based staff
  • Create and deliver structured training programmes that gets new team members up to speed quickly and supports their continued development
  • Provide inspirational leadership through regular 1:1s, shadowing, and performance reviews
  • Create a high-performance culture that celebrates results and continuous improvement
  • Occasional field visits to our Brand Representatives based around the UK

Recruitment & Team Growth

  • Identify, attract and recruit top sales talent as the sales team expands
  • Help shape the onboarding experience to ensure new hires succeed
  • Contribute to the structure, values, and culture of a high-performing sales team

Sales Forecasting & Reporting

  • Deliver regular sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and performance analysis
  • Use CRM and sales data to identify trends, track progress, and make informed decisions
  • Present insights to leadership to support strategic planning

Target Setting & Incentive Planning

  • Define clear sales targets for individuals and the wider team
  • Work with senior leadership to design effective commission and incentive structures
  • Align performance management with company objectives

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Operations and Customer Experience departments to ensure a smooth post-sale transition
  • Work closely with Marketing to improve lead quality and feedback loops
  • Share insights and feedback across departments to drive overall business improvement

Sales Systems & CRM Optimisation

  • Ensure effective use of the CRM for managing leads, follow-ups, and pipeline visibility
  • Implement efficient workflows to improve conversion rates and team productivity
  • Maintain data quality and drive improvements using real-time insights

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone who leads with energy, empathy and focuses on outcomes
  • Experience working in the education sector is preferred but not essential
  • A proven sales leader with at least 5 years’ experience managing a sales team
  • Must have experience managing teams of 10 or more salespeople, ideally in a high-growth environment
  • Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for inspiring others to succeed
  • Strong track record in designing and implementing sales cycles that deliver results
  • Confident working and developing CRM tools, reporting systems and digital sales platforms
  • Proven experience designing and delivering sales and onboarding training for both new hires and existing team members

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working options
  • Bonus structure based on team performance
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
  • Join a fast-growing company with opportunities to progress
  • Supportive, fun and creative workplace
  • Health & Wellbeing Programme
  • Virtual GP appointments and claim on treatment costs.
  • Amazing staff parties with an annual all staff conference

If you're ready to take the lead in a rewarding, fast-growing company where music changes lives every day, we’d love to hear from you.
