Sales Origination Lead - Health & Public Sector

Location: London

Please Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this role, which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.

In our team you will learn:

  • Experience working within the public sector covering Central Government, National Security & Policing and the Defence Sector. Our clients include critical national infrastructure and clients of national significance.
  • Support the delivery of Accenture's security offerings across our cyber resilience, cyber protect and cyber strategy domains that covers areas like security governance, cloud, AI, cyber strategy, risk assessments, identity and access management and managed security services.
  • Learn skills to implement security compliance measures to complex technical transformation and capability enhancement projects.

As the Health & Public Services Sales Origination lead, you will:

Proactively originate in this critical element of our business. It requires a skillset and mindset to be able to identify opportunities through both organic and directly intended client conversation.

A snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Originate, qualify, and support the close of new opportunities for Accenture clients leveraging the wider Health & Public Services Security Team and our security capabilities to drive customer growth.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients or customers by researching and targeting appropriate leads, whether through cold outreach, networking events, social media, or other channels.
  • Effectively convey the value proposition of our Cyber Security capabilities or services to potential clients. This includes active listening to understand client needs, articulating solutions that address those needs, and persuading prospects to take action.
  • Successful sales origination often requires strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. You will do this by understanding market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer pain points to develop effective sales strategies. Sales origination professionals must be able to adapt their approach based on changing circumstances and overcome objections or obstacles to close deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships externally with our clients and internally within Accenture. This involves not only acquiring new customers but also nurturing existing relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Lead joint account planning sessions between Accenture and our ecosystem partners to align and accelerate existing opportunities.

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of client-facing experience with demonstrated experience closing large, complex cyber programmes of work.
  • Proven experience in sales roles, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with the ability to identify and qualify potential clients effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects and clients.
  • Proven experience working with Board and C-Suite level contacts.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market dynamics, identify opportunities, and develop actionable sales plans.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to overcome objections and secure commitments from clients.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales goals and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools for lead management, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable about the threat landscape and cyber risks for clients within the Public sector.
  • Knowledgeable about the regulatory landscape for clients within the Public sector.
  • Knowledge and experience of security standards, procedures, reviews and automation.
  • Knowledge of Industry best practice and applicable standards for Cloud Security.

Set yourself apart:

  • Familiarity with common frameworks within the Public sector e.g.: NIST, ISO27001, NCSC Guidance and CIS controls.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud security.
  • Experience of selling cloud-based solutions and platforms.
