Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime during peak seasons

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and customer-focused Sales Order Processor to join our kitchen manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer orders from receipt through to production, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high levels of customer service. This role involves coordinating with internal departments (retail, design, production, logistics) to ensure seamless order fulfilment.

Responsibilities
  • Order Processing: Accurately input and process sales orders; validate kitchen orders against quotations, CAD designs, and technical specifications; review kitchen plans/layouts to ensure compatibility with manufacturing standards; liaise with sales, design, and production teams to clarify order details; ensure all materials and components required for each kitchen are specified correctly.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Act as a point of contact for Production teams, kitchen designers, and installation teams regarding order progress, product queries, or changes; communicate proactively with clients on lead times, product availability, and any potential delays; manage amendments, cancellations, and aftersales service requests efficiently.
  • Technical Coordination: Interpret kitchen plans and design drawings to ensure order accuracy; raise and resolve any discrepancies or issues with the design or specification before processing orders; ensure compliance with manufacturing capabilities and product range limitations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and issue order confirmations and delivery schedules; maintain accurate order records and customer communications in CRM systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret kitchen design plans (e.g., CAD layouts).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Desirable Experience
  • Prior experience in kitchen, furniture, or joinery manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with CAD-based kitchen planning tools.
  • Familiarity with kitchen componentry and terminology (carcasses, doors, hinges, worktops, etc.).
  • Understanding of made-to-order manufacturing and bespoke product processing.
