Sales Operations Manager - Manchester

The role of the Sales Operations Manager is to lead a team of SDRs and support the Head of Department in guiding the Small & Medium Business (SMB) Sales Team (Inbound, Outbound, Expansion) towards success. You will be responsible for SMB Sales growth by assisting SDRs, driving, and motivating successful sales and new business month on month.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering and improving the SMB Sales team's performance through management and coaching to ensure an excellent onboarding experience.
  • Manage a team of 10-15 members with varying levels of expertise.
  • Handle recruitment, reward, and development of team members.
  • Establish and maintain a performance management framework.
  • Report to the SMB Head of Sales.

What you'll be doing:

  • Motivate the team to maintain high morale, low absenteeism, and turnover.
  • Manage resources and prioritize workloads to meet sales targets.
  • Coach team members through regular 1:1s and reviews, identifying development needs and creating development plans.
  • Monitor team performance using data to set or adjust targets and measure success.
  • Ensure quality recruitment and collaborate with HR and Learning & Development for training programs.
  • Represent the SMB Sales team in projects and ad hoc assignments.
  • Provide management reports within deadlines.
  • Research and resolve complex complaints from SDRs, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Communicate company plans and procedural changes effectively.
  • Work with other managers to ensure SDRs receive necessary development and support.

Skills Required

  • Experience in high-velocity sales management.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication, coaching, and feedback skills.
  • Proven track record managing teams of over 10 people.
