Sales Office Team Leader - Oldbury | Up to £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (30-minute lunch)

Bonus: Quarterly company-wide bonus (at client's discretion)

About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing business within the electrical industry, known for high-quality products and outstanding customer service. The internal sales team is skilled, motivated, and close-knit, and they are looking for a Sales Office Team Leader to support the Sales Director and elevate the team's performance.

The Role

As a Sales Office Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the internal sales office, including Order Entry, Quotation, and Sales Support teams. You'll motivate, coach, and develop the team while driving sales growth, hitting targets, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

You will manage performance, deliver training, maintain sales data, and support the Sales Director in identifying new opportunities in existing and new markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Sales Director and internal sales team with day-to-day management.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Recruit, coach, and monitor team performance.
  • Organise and maintain training and development records.
  • Maintain and report sales data and customer trends.
  • Manage quality control processes for the sales office.
  • Identify new opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • Confidently upsell company strengths and product ranges.
  • Ensure excellent communication internally and with customers.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sales Office Team Leader or similar role.
  • Experience within the electrical or cable management industry advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present, influence, and engage effectively.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining margins.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfortable using social media platforms for business.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
