Sales & Marketing Manager in Sheffield – Exclusive Racquets & Fitness Club
A fantastic job in leisure with a salary of £40-45k (experience dependent)
Our client is an exclusive, members-only racquets club providing a premier experience for enthusiasts of tennis, squash, and other racquet sports. Focused on exceptional service and social engagement, they aim to build a vibrant community. We are recruiting a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to oversee daily operations and contribute to growth and success.
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring high service standards, achieving financial goals, and driving club growth. This role involves team management, strategic planning, marketing, and financial oversight. The manager will play a key role in enhancing member experience and supporting the club’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, P&L management, with support from finance.
- Membership & Customer Service:
- Develop strategies to recruit and retain members, fostering an engaged community.
- Act as the primary contact for members, addressing concerns and gathering feedback.
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff including front-of-house, bar, and maintenance teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, manage recruitment, and support staff development.
- Ensure adherence to policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Manage HR functions, including policies, recruitment, staff development, and performance monitoring.
Marketing & Communications:
- Create and implement marketing strategies to promote the club and attract new members.
- Oversee digital presence, including website, social media, and newsletters.
- Build relationships with local businesses and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the club’s strategic development, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Lead projects to improve member experience, such as facility upgrades and new services.
- Stay updated on industry trends to maintain competitiveness and innovation.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a sports, fitness, racquets, or members-only club environment.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and profitability skills.
- Experience in team leadership and performance development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for sports and understanding of racquets clubs is highly desirable.
- Strategic thinking and adaptability to market trends.
