Our client is a reputable branded hotel, part of an award-winning hotel group operating under global brands. The hotel features over 100 bedrooms, flexible meeting spaces, and leisure facilities. A substantial investment and rebranding are planned for the end of 2023 to elevate the hotel to the next level.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Be fully accountable for delivering the key commercial targets of the budget.
  2. Lead, inspire, and develop a proactive sales culture at the hotel.
  3. Take a proactive approach to generating new business and building strong, lasting relationships with existing, lapsed, and new clients to grow market share.
  4. Work closely with the on-property team to maximize opportunities and execute strategies to drive revenue through a robust pipeline.
  5. Generate new inquiries for meetings, events, and team-building activities with corporates and venue-finding agencies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Identify, secure, and contract new and repeat business across all market segments, with a focus on meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
  2. Own and be responsible for driving and delivering strategies aligned with the Commercial Plan.
  3. Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events.
  4. Research potential new accounts, conduct introductory calls, plan appointments, and carry out weekly face-to-face sales calls.
  5. Secure group, tour operator, and wholesale business to boost revenue, especially during shoulder periods.
  6. Support the General Manager in implementing effective data capture and database management systems.
  7. Identify and develop partnerships with local leisure attractions.
  8. Maintain extensive market and product knowledge to adapt offerings to client needs and market trends.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Proven sales management experience in a hotel or hospitality venue.
  2. Minimum of 3 years in hotel sales management.
  3. Experience working within a hotel sales team and effective coaching skills.
  4. Strong commercial acumen focused on sales and revenue growth.
  5. Excellent customer care, account management, and negotiation skills.
  6. Strong presentation and influencing abilities.
  7. Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  9. Knowledge of PMS and CRM systems (training provided if needed).
  10. Proficiency in report writing, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  11. Open to new ideas and implementing effective strategies in the hotel.
