An excellent opportunity for an experienced Group Sales and Marketing Manager to join a well-established company based in Leicester

Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent.

Salary: Dependant on Experience, + Car Allowance, + Generous Profit-Sharing Scheme.

Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

Primary Work Location: Hybrid – Leicester Head Office/Mobile.

Start Dates: Immediate (subject to notice periods)

GROUP SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

The company is a long standing, successful organisation that continues to grow year on year. They need an ambitious Sales and Marketing leader who can define strategy, lead from the front and drive sales and marketing forward.

They are looking to continue their development as major suppliers to the Contract Cleaning and Facility Management sector whilst maintaining their trusted reputation as a UK based Disposable Paper Manufacturer and Cleaning & Hygiene product supplier, including comprehensive own label ranges.

The focus of this role is people – the company’s Sales Team and the Marketing Department need a hands-on, forward-thinking leader, brimming with ideas and hungry for growth, to help them succeed.

Your background may be Marketing with commercial experience or Sales with marketing responsibilities. We are happy to consider both but would like to see applicable marketing capabilities within all candidates.

Whilst looking after your Teams you will be expected to exceed Sales Targets and objectives by creating, growing and defining added value relationships with key business contacts from Procurement to Stakeholder level.

As the Group Sales and Marketing Manager, you will report to the Managing Director and the Board.

As the Group Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be based at the company’s Head Office but with significant field activity as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Sales Department
  2. Manage the Marketing Department
  3. Develop and deliver the group’s Sales and Marketing Strategies
  4. Know the numbers – working to exceed targets whilst understanding all metrics and contributing factors
  5. Create ideas, content and collateral to showcase the Company and support the sales process
  6. Influence Company direction and development including product development and services
  7. Maximise the generation of profitable sales to aid growth and reinvestment
  8. Oversee the Customer relationships including some direct responsibilities
  9. Work closely with operational colleagues to ensure that account execution exceeds customer expectations
  10. Start new relationships with new clients and prospect opportunities
  11. Lead from the front with an infectiously positive attitude

The Candidate:

You will need…

  1. A strong understanding of how to promote products and manage customers
  2. Market understanding and insight
  3. The ability to review data and understand complexities on all sides whilst creating suitable sales and marketing strategies
  4. Experience in Managing Teams
  5. Demonstrable success in Sale and Marketing
  6. Data manipulation skills – an Excel ‘wizard’ would be beneficial
  7. Marketing production capabilities would be a benefit (Adobe CC etc.)
  8. Multi/cross channel marketing experience would be a benefit (digital, print, automation)
  9. Strategic development experience – Marketing
  10. Strategic development experience – Sales
  11. Influencing, negotiation and financial skills
  12. Excellent commercial awareness
  13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  14. Understanding of advertising and promotional strategies
  15. Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, infectiously enthusiastic attitude
  16. A sales revenue driven focus

In addition, you will be…

  1. A fluent presenter and communicator
  2. Able to negotiate trading terms in line with MGUK company policy
  3. Everyday computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, with desirable experience using CRM/ERP Software)
  4. An excellent negotiator who can balance the requirements of both the company and the client to achieve desired results
  5. Confident and articulate in all forms of communication and able to adapt their style to suit each situation or audience
  6. Striving for development both personally at MGUK and for MGUK as a growing business
