A leading sports technology firm in the UK is seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. The ideal candidate has significant experience in racquet sports and a strong sales background. Responsibilities include overseeing the sales process and supporting the international team. This is a remote position with travel involved.

PlaySight SmartCourt technology powers athletes, coaches, teams and leagues all over the world with its connected camera platform used for broadcast, instant replay and player development. PlaySight is the video technology leader in racquet sports (Tennis, Pickleball, Padel and Squash) working with groups like the LTA, Padium Padel, Padel Social Club, IMG Academy and others around the globe. Our technology is installed on thousands of courts across all levels of sport, and in 2024 - PlaySight powered champions in the NBA, WNBA, NCAA Tennis, NCAA Baseball, NCAA Ice Hockey and more.
We are looking for an ambitious and play-to-win Sales Manager based in the UK to join our amazing, growing global Sales team. As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. Your responsibilities will include:
* Reporting to the VP Sales
* Driving new sales initiatives and growth strategies in the UK
* Supervision of the entire sales process from lead generation to closing.
* Providing sales support to the international sales team.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in racquet sports, including playing, coaching, sales or technology, is highly valued.
* A strong background in sales/business development is desirable, showing a track record of generating leads, meeting/exceeding quotas, and successful closings in B2C sales. (3+ years experience in sales preferred)
* Strong understanding of the sports technology market
* An academic degree is required, with preference for those involved in business or the media.
* Proven experience in identifying potential clients, cultivating relationships, negotiating, and recruiting clients.
* Skill in managing the complete sales cycle: from lead generation and pipeline management to negotiation, deal closing and implementation.
* Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team player.
* Ability to adapt to efficient functioning in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, written and oral.
* Network in athletics or particular sports is a plus
* Background in Racquet Sports (Tennis, Padel, Pickleball), multi-sport campuses and leagues is a plus
* Bonus if candidate speaks English and Spanish (or other languages)
* The position may involve travel and is remote.
