Join us as a Sales Manager, Payit

  • We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to help drive the growth of our open banking business, Payit

  • In this consultative sales role, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and offering tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of mid-market and enterprise-level clients

  • It’s a chance to work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer pain points, develop proposals that demonstrate the value of our product suite, and guide prospects through the entire sales lifecycle

What you'll do

As a Sales Manager, you’ll be working with internal and external business partners to identify, target, and generate opportunities that are aligned to our product capability and customer use cases. You’ll leverage your network and various outreach methods to initiate contact and qualify prospects.

We’ll look to you to collaborate with Technical Sales, Product and other internal colleagues to develop and present customised proposals, product demonstrations, and value propositions that showcase how our payments solutions can solve specific business problems and improve efficiency.

You’ll also be:

  • Using a consultative approach to understand the unique business challenges and needs of potential clients

  • Building relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders by understanding their goals, pain points, and the complexities of their existing payment processes

  • Leading negotiations through to deal closure, balancing the client’s needs with company objectives, and making sure that contracts, pricing, and terms are aligned with business goals while meeting customer requirements

  • Driving the activation process for new customers and meeting revenue expectations, and making sure customers achieve quick time-to-value and are fully utilising the solution’s features to achieve their business objectives

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and forecast potential revenue

  • Providing regular updates to senior management, highlighting key activities, pipeline status, and progress toward targets

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in business-to-business sales, with a focus on complex, enterprise-level technology or payments solutions. You’ll also bring a proven track record in consultative selling, solution-based sales, and closing large deals.

Ideally, you’ll have a deep understanding of the payments industry, financial technologies, and related ecosystems, as well as familiarity with open banking, payment processing, merchant services, and enterprise-scale payment systems.

You’ll also need:

  • A strong ability to influence and build relationships at senior levels of large businesses

  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills

  • An analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex client needs and design customised solutions

  • Strong financial acumen to develop commercial proposals that align with strategic pricing models and financial objectives

  • The demonstrable ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal colleagues to ensure alignment, drive results, and address customer needs effectively

  • To be an excellent team player that’s vested in the success and development of yourself and your colleagues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
