About the Role

Are you ready to be the trailblazer who transforms the UK’s food service supply chain? Join our ambitious agri-tech start-up, backed by a rapidly growing digital trading platform, as the first commercial team member in the UK. Your mission? To introduce premium, sustainably sourced olive oil—available both in bulk and bottles—to key players in the food supply industry.

This is a rare opportunity to build a customer base from scratch, define our go-to-market strategy, and make your mark as we expand across Europe. You’ll take full ownership of our UK sales effort, targeting wholesalers, food production companies, and distributors. If you’re passionate about food, thrive on building relationships, and want to be at the forefront of innovation in agri-food sales, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calling and trade exhibitions.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet targets.
    • Conduct market research on industry trends and customer needs.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
    • Act as the primary contact for key accounts.
    • Present products/services professionally and negotiate contracts.
    • Monitor sales performance and strive to meet or exceed quotas.
  3. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare sales forecasts and market reports.
    • Provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends.
    • Collaborate with internal teams for project implementation.
    • Support junior team members and share best practices.
Requirements
  • You must be based in England.
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Solid experience in the food service supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and ownership-driven mindset.
  • Nice to have: e-commerce, logistics experience, or knowledge of the Southern European olive oil ecosystem.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary plus uncapped commission.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
