We are looking for a talented individual to join this energetic team. Serving as the primary contact for our clients, you will need to drive sales by identifying and qualifying leads and opportunities, and work with our proactive sales team on converting exciting event and group leads for this hotel. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key industry partners, including event planners, corporate clients, and agencies, to foster long-term relationships and encourage repeat business, referrals, and positive word-of-mouth.

The ideal candidate will have a history of phenomenal conversion, the ability to charm and sell during site visits, over email, and phone. They should be able to showcase the hotel, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience along with tailored sales proposals to meet client needs.

As our Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
  • New Business Development: Drive and deliver new direct business and build a strong pipeline aligned with the hotel’s strategic objectives. Ensure sales targets for corporate rooms, meetings & events, and marketing plans are achieved with ROI tracking.
  • Account Management: Take ownership of corporate rate negotiations for LNR and KNR accounts. Maintain and develop a portfolio of key accounts to ensure long-term relationships and maximize opportunities.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales office to convert local and KNR leads for groups and meetings. Support the Director of Sales.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Deliver sales performance reports, track KPIs, and adjust strategies to meet targets.
  • Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify new opportunities through social media, trade shows, and market analysis. Follow up on lost leads to uncover potential business.
  • Rate Negotiation & Contract Renewal: Support re-negotiation of annual rate agreements to align with financial goals.
  • Commercial Strategy: Assist in creating sales packs and reviews for leadership. Play a role in shaping sales strategies.
  • Client Hospitality & Engagement: Lead hospitality initiatives, manage performance trackers, and ensure effective use of sales tools.
  • Representation & Brand Building: Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events to promote the Kimpton Clocktower brand and generate opportunities.
To succeed as our Sales Manager, you will need:
  • A proven track record of sales achievements with at least 1 year experience in a hotel Sales Manager role.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and the ability to support plans with strategies.
  • Knowledge of all market segments, including corporate and conference.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision, maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Delphi knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience in tracking corporate rooms and influencing sales outcomes.
  • Relevant functional experience and collaboration with hotel departments.
