What you will do

The role of Production Systems Service Sales Manager is an exciting opportunity within Johnson Controls to develop our focus on service growth within wellhead systems and hydraulic process control equipment. Reporting to the Service Sales Manager UK, sitting within the Global Marine & Offshore Service business, you will seek to grow equipment servicing and product supply base in the UK and overseas.

Working closely with and supported by our operations team in the UK, you will be instrumental in performing the sales growth initiative.

How you will do it

You will lead the execution of your Go-To-Market strategy in existing markets and employ enterprise tools and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth. Ensuring your strategy's success, you will adapt your sales approach based on key findings. You will also ensure effective adoption of company systems, tools, pricing policies, and sales processes.

Using our current market intelligence and industry networking tools, you will blend field activity with conversations with new clients to capture opportunities.

Salesforce.com is the CRM tool within the business, and our Marketing team supports external communications and customer campaigns to assist your growth strategy.

To be successful in this role you will

  • Build business development strategies to improve sales opportunities in target markets.
  • Identify and target existing accounts for growth and convert new opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities & developments.
  • Lead the sales process from opportunity identification to closure, coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Develop a sales pipeline to meet installation order requirements.
  • Handle leads and drive sales using Salesforce.
  • Contribute to Oil & Gas growth initiatives to improve opportunity creation and cross-selling.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage bids effectively and efficiently.

What we look for

Required

  • Knowledge of the UK Oil/Gas/Renewables market.
  • Technical understanding of Production Systems and Hydraulic Equipment (training support available).
  • Experience working with major Oil & Gas customers, Operators, and EPCs.
  • Proven track record in developing new business in sales, business development, or territory management roles.
  • Experience in service or contract-based sales.
  • Strong client relationship and forecasting skills.
  • Experience in field sales, relationship selling, and pipeline management.
  • IT literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and full UK Driving License.

Preferred

  • Proven success selling technical solutions in the Oil, Gas & Marine markets.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and working within large, matrix organizations.
  • Ability to present technical and commercial information to senior management.
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player.
  • Resourceful, operationally engaged, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and lead teams.
  • Track record of achieving results.
