What you will do
The role of Production Systems Service Sales Manager is an exciting opportunity within Johnson Controls to develop our focus on service growth within wellhead systems and hydraulic process control equipment. Reporting to the Service Sales Manager UK, sitting within the Global Marine & Offshore Service business, you will seek to grow equipment servicing and product supply base in the UK and overseas.
Working closely with and supported by our operations team in the UK, you will be instrumental in performing the sales growth initiative.

How you will do it
You will lead the execution of your Go-To-Market strategy in existing markets and employ enterprise tools and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth. Ensuring your strategy’s success, you will take key findings to continuously adapt your sales strategy to deliver growth. You will also ensure effective adoption of company systems, tools, pricing policies, and sales processes.
Using our current market intelligence and industry networking tools, you will blend field activity with conversations with new clients to capture any opportunities available to you.
Salesforce.com is the CRM tool within the business, and our Marketing function is also able to support with external communications and tailoring customer campaigns to assist you with your growth strategy.
To be successful in this role you will
- Build business development strategies to improve sales opportunities in our target markets.
- Identify the best existing accounts to target for growth as well as identifying and converting new account opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities & new developments.
- Lead the complete sales process from opportunity identification to sales closure, coordinating inputs from other business stakeholders.
- Develop a sales pipeline to ensure installation order booking requirements are met.
- Handle leads and drive sales performance using Salesforce.
- Contribute to our Oil & Gas growth rooms to improve opportunity creation and cross-sell opportunities.
- Continuously strive for and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective and efficient bid management.
What we look for
Required
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK Oil/Gas/Renewables market.
- Technical understanding of Production Systems and Hydraulic Equipment is required but is supported by our technical team.
- Experience working with major Oil & Gas customers, Operators, and EPCs.
- Proven track record of developing new business in sales, business development, or territory management roles.
- Experience in service or contract-based sales functions.
- Experience in developing new business through excellent client relationships and forecasting.
- Experience in field sales, relationship selling, planning, opportunity, and pipeline management.
- IT literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and full UK Driving License.
Preferred
- Proven track record of selling technical solutions within the Oil, Gas & Marine Market.
- Experience using Salesforce.com CRM and working within large organizations with matrix structures.
- Ability to present technical and commercial information to board level.
- Autonomous working style, proactive teamwork skills.
- Resourcefulness and engagement with operational departments for high customer service levels.
- Ability to build plans and unite teams for mutual success.
- Proven track record of achieving results.
