Sales Manager - Handset Devices Business - EE
You must have strong EE connections.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven EE Account Director to lead sales efforts for Mobile Broadband (MBB), Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), and handset terminal devices. This role requires a deep understanding of the telecoms industry, strong relationships within the sector, and the ability to drive business growth through strategic sales initiatives.
Project and Resource Management
- Assist the Head of devices and MD in devising the sales plan based on market development for handsets, dongles, Mifi, CPE, etc.
- Manage sales staff expectations aligned with HQ and responsible for managing daily activities.
- Promote internal marketing strategies and build local relationships and networks.
- Support the sales of handsets to ensure products are effectively marketed to customers.
Relationship Building and Networking
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with management levels in the UK and China.
- Manage and coordinate work and activities of the team (Commercial and Technical) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support the end-to-end implementation of sales within the devices and handsets area.
Reporting and Analysis
- Capture, record, and report on key data related to technical aspects, demographics, market conditions, economic factors, and financial information to support senior management.
- Maintain internal reporting frameworks and metrics to measure business development success.
Essential Skills and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Excellent knowledge of operators and handset/Mobile Broadband portfolios market.
- Strong contacts within operators, service providers, and channel partners, mainly focusing on EE and top UK distributors.
- Previous experience working with TCL/ALCATEL and Zyxel is preferable.
- Proven track record in business development and account management within large organizations.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a history of achieving objectives.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and managerial methodologies.
- Ability to manage complex environments and virtual teams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing external third-party environments.
- Creative thinker capable of innovating and proposing new approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills for influencing, negotiating, and listening.
