Sales Manager Foodservice London

My client, based in West London, imports and distributes high-end quality Italian food and wine products across the UK.

They are recruiting an experienced Sales Manager to drive sales across London and manage a team of three field sales representatives and two customer service executives.

Experience in managing, coaching, and developing a Foodservice sales team is essential for this role.

Salary & Package: Salary £70k-£80k (negotiable based on experience), £15k Bonus, Pension Contribution, 23 days holidays.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key foodservice and retail customers, driving customer engagement, ensuring business growth, and achieving team targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute customer visits on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, ensuring the sales team follows these plans.
  2. Manage existing and new accounts to meet targets.
  3. Promote, sell, and secure orders from customers.
  4. Organise tasting demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
  5. Lead and develop the sales team, setting targets and leading by example.
  6. Organise periodic promotions within foodservice.
  7. Coordinate sales efforts with management, accounting, and logistics.
  8. Report on customer needs, problems, competition, and new product opportunities.
  9. Analyse market potential and customer value.
  10. Achieve sales volume growth while maintaining margins.
  11. Expand the client base by managing incoming leads and closing sales.
  12. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  13. Update management on market trends and competitor activities.
  14. Ensure product orders align with market demand.
  15. Plan sales territories effectively to maximize sales.
  16. Maintain excellent customer service to retain and attract clients.
  17. Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  18. Coordinate marketing efforts and participate in trade shows and sales meetings.
  19. Manage merchandising and planogram implementation in stores.
