Location: Hybrid (Central London)

Reports To: Managing Director

Direct Reports: Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Sales Admin, and Sales Technical Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to oversee the sales efforts for a Fire and Security sales team. This role will involve managing sales operations, developing new business, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring that all fire and security installation solutions meet customer needs while driving company revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, a strong understanding of fire and security systems, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  1. Develop and implement effective sales go-to-market strategies for fire and security installation services.
  2. Identify and target new business opportunities within the fire and security industry.
  3. Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, proposal submission, negotiations, to closing deals through our CRM system.
  4. Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  5. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  6. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives and support staff.
  7. Provide coaching, training, and support to ensure team members are equipped to succeed in their roles.
  8. Collaborate with the technical and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  9. Conduct sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  10. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the fire and security installation industry.
  11. Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and stay informed about market developments.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property managers, security managers, IT infrastructure managers, architects, fitout contractors, and facilities managers.

Reporting & Forecasting:

  1. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
  2. Track and analyse sales data to ensure the team’s targets are being met and to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Prepare and present tender proposals and presentations to potential clients.

Customer Service & Relationship Building:

  1. Ensure customers receive the highest level of service and support before, during, and after the installation.
  2. Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  3. Work closely with the service and installation management teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
