Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting a Sales Manager – Fabrics in Surrey. The role blends 2/3 days in the office with 2/3 days remote, selling high-end fabrics to architects, interior designers and developers for commercial and residential interiors.

You will support quotations, stock and orders while developing new business and key accounts; occasional trade shows may be required. Salary £34,000–£38,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Sales experience, selling fabrics, furniture, textiles, upholstery, wall coverings, soft furnishings, blinds or related interior products.
• Experience selling to architects, interior designers or developers is advantageous.
• Operational management experience is beneficial.
• Consultative in approach and strong relationship-building.
• Autonomous, driven with excellent territory planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote our client’s range of high-end fabrics for commercial and residential interiors to trade customers.
• Sell to architects, interior designers, property developers, and blind/curtain companies.
• Identify new business opportunities while growing existing accounts and penetration.
• Provide technical and product knowledge, advising on suitability and specifications of fabrics.
• Support quotations, orders, stock, product availability and customer requirements; attend trade shows/showrooms if needed.

The role of the Sales Manager – Fabrics will involve:

• Sales / Operations Manager position promoting our clients range of high-end fabrics for commercial & residential interior sectors
• Selling purely into trade to; architects, interior designers, property developers and blind/curtain companies
• Identify new business opportunities while developing existing customer accounts and increasing product penetration.
• Provide customers with technical and product knowledge, advising on the suitability, application and specification of fabrics.
• Work closely with the operational side of the business, supporting quotations, orders, stock, product availability and customer requirements.
• May be a requirement to attend trade shows and showrooms
• Project/Order sizes ranging from £60 – £5,000

The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager – Fabrics with:

• Must have Sales experience, selling one or more of the following: fabrics, furniture, textiles, upholstery, wall coverings, soft furnishing, blinds, shading or a related interior product
• Highly advantageous to have experience selling to architects, interior designers or developers
• Beneficial to have existing operational management experience
