Your area of work
The sales manager is responsible for identifying, building, and maintaining strong relationships with EMEA financial institutions, with a predominant focus on London. This includes establishing direct relationships with sell-side clients (such as banks’ D1 desks, sales, and execution teams) and buy-side firms (including funds, asset managers, SWF, pension funds, insurance companies, etc.). The role involves increasing both direct and indirect trade flows out of the EMEA region by attracting new customers to the exchange, acquiring new members, and contributing to sales initiatives and regional projects. You will work closely with the Eurex global sales team and other internal interfaces. The Sales Manager reports to the Head of Sales EMEA. The position is based in London and may require travel.

Your responsibilities

  • Facilitating sales initiatives by understanding customer needs, processes, and business models to grow the usage of Eurex products across asset classes.
  • Delivering in three dimensions:
  • Increasing distribution and trading activity
  • Growing trustful client relationships
  • Providing customer intelligence into Eurex’s product and service design processes
  • Cultivating and managing key relationships with buy-side and sell-side clients to support existing and new product launches
  • Generating short- and long-term sales solutions to expand footprints in the region
  • Participating actively in industry associations and representing the company at events and conferences
  • Supporting the creation and execution of regional and product-specific sales plans with strategic expansion views in EMEA/UK
  • Engaging in relevant business development projects and initiatives
  • Maintaining a high level of familiarity with capital markets, derivatives, and relevant regulations impacting the exchange and clients in the region

Your profile

  • University degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the international financial industry
  • Strong sales experience with a broad network of relationships
  • Extensive knowledge of derivatives products, clearing processes, and risk management
  • Strong problem-solving and integrated thinking skills with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Proficient and confident communication skills, with the ability to articulate views clearly and confidently
