The recruitment process has been extended and will involve first stage telephone interviews followed by online testing and second stage Skype meetings. Thereafter, face-to-face meetings will take place when circumstances allow.

This is a field sales/home office based role with periodic visits to the UK Sales Office in the south of England. During training and initial settling-in, the successful candidate will be required to regularly report to one of the client’s offices.

Ideal location for the candidate: Northampton to the north, Heathrow to the east, Bath to the west.

The successful candidate will inherit existing business (multi £Ms).

Industry experience considerations: Candidates from the paper, print, or packaging industries will be given equal consideration.

This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced sales professional responsible for managing the sale of office paper products within the UK and Ireland.

Typical market experience required:

  • Selling into non-specific product ranges to wholesalers, contract stationers, or retailers.
  • Experience in selling into paper converting markets, such as paper packaging companies or envelope/mailing companies.

Reporting to the UK-based General Manager, this role has no direct reports.

The main function is ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through strategy implementation and action plans to meet short and long-term objectives.

Main activities include:

  • Building customer relationships through promotion and sales of products and brands.
  • Defining, managing, and monitoring annual budgets with customers aligned with company strategy.
  • Identifying business opportunities and new customers by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the market, competition, and consumer trends.
  • Ensuring consistent customer service through collaboration with marketing, supply chain, logistics, pricing, and quality departments.
  • Negotiating with customers and building strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Participating actively in discussions, innovation, and strategic processes.
  • Expanding the customer base through prospecting and launching new products.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven sales background, with knowledge of key account management advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or commercial functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Negotiation, impact, and influence skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Teamwork and cooperation skills.
