Job description

Working in the UK sales team to manage existing accounts and develop new business within the UK alternative network FTTH Market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Leading direct sales engagements with UK Tier 2/3 alternative network fibre broadband service providers.
  2. Supporting our indirect sales efforts through close cooperation and support of our UK channel partners and distributors.
  3. Hunter mentality, qualifying and selling to new accounts, whilst winning sales from existing customer accounts.
  4. Explaining complex value and technical propositions to drive sales of fibre optic cabling and connectivity solutions.
  5. Engaging multiple stakeholders and developing deep relationships in each set account, solution selling to multiple decision makers.
  6. Strong internal collaboration with supporting business functions, sales engineering, product line managers, contracts teams and delivery managers.
  7. Developing detailed sales plans, accurate sales forecasting, internal reporting, updating salesforce CRM systems.
  8. Attending and presenting at trade shows, exhibitions.
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Strong technical bias and understanding of fibre optic components, hardware and networks.
  2. Experience gained from engineering, technical or operational roles, or from sales and marketing to the telecommunication industry (mobile/fixed line/satellite).
  3. Commercial acumen with a growth mindset, adept at long term relationship building.
  4. Understanding of the FTTH telecommunication network market, architectures and trends.
  5. Resilience and determination, accustomed to long term sales cycles.
  6. Confident at engaging senior technical and engineering directors, business leaders, strong presentation skills.
  7. Negotiation, analytical and evaluation skills.
