Job Title – Sales Manager

Salary – £34k plus bonus

Our client is recruiting a Sales Manager who will work in a demanding, fast paced and exciting environment.

You will manage a “World Class” Travel Sales call centre and retail unit to a broad and diverse portfolio of clients.

You will be responsible for driving the business to maximise revenue opportunities and deliver the agreed profit targets through the control and management of the profit and loss account.

This role requires a hands-on approach and a “lead from the front” attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the department strategy to maximise revenue
  • Deliver the agreed levels of service and quality at all times
  • Consistently manage, deliver, monitor and improve KPI’s within budget
  • Adapt plans to account for changed circumstances
  • Actively reduce cost base to a minimum operational level to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Lead the Team in a dynamic and inspirational manner
  • Implement, co-ordinate, manage and plan all call activity
  • Operate strategically, with a ‘thinking outside of the box’ approach
  • Work in partnership with the post -sales teams – e.g. ticketing – ensuring a high quality end-to-end service to the customers at all times
  • Drive sales performance through the creation
  • Review the existing internal and external business
  • Interpret and communicate Sales information to the Sales Team
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with senior staff
  • Develop the capability of key staff, evaluating performance on an on-going basis

Skills required:

  • Extensive experience of working at a strategic level in an inbound Sales environment whether call centre or retail
  • Sound operational management experience with a proven track record of adherence to schedules
  • Travel industry experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial management
  • Thorough understanding of resource optimization and delivery
  • Excellent team player
  • Resilient with the ability to overcome challenges to consistently meet and exceed targets
  • Inspirational leader who engages employees to achieve results
