News UK in London is seeking a Sales Manager on a 12-month FTC to drive revenue across digital, video, social, branded content and print, championing The Sun. Job Description

Your team: The Sun Publishing team is currently undergoing an exciting commercial transformation. We are a dynamic, multi-disciplinary group dedicated to creating compelling, multi-platform advertising solutions that drive revenue and deliver truly impactful results for our clients.

Your Role: You will drive daily commercial conversations across digital display, video, social, branded content, and print, championing The Sun at the heart of the national cultural conversation. This is an exciting opportunity to translate multi-platform possibilities into sophisticated, high-performing commercial results for our strategic agency partners.

Day to day you will:

  • Drive a strategic agency business plan focused on winning new digital and video revenue, helping traditional print clients transition to direct or premium programmatic channels.

  • Build and maintain influential partnerships with senior agency stakeholders across Digital, Programmatic, AV, and Publishing.

  • Lead brand presentations and deploy internal talent to independently drive positive, top-of-mind awareness for The Sun's multi-platform offerings.

  • Devise targeted sales strategies and mobilise internal teams to secure, manage, and deliver high-profile commercial partnerships and tenancies.

  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure flawless campaign execution, real-time optimisation, and exceptional post-campaign analysis.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and track competitor activity to identify fresh market opportunities.

What we're looking for from you:
  • A proven track record of revenue growth and success within a media sales environment.

  • Deep understanding of agency structures, diverse buying processes, and a broad, senior contact base.

  • Strong knowledge of all digital and print media types, including display, branded content, social, video, programmatic, and operational delivery.

  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to interrogate briefs effectively and constructively challenge requirements to uncover deeper insights.

  • Tenacity in sourcing new potential clients and influencing buying decisions, supported by strong negotiation skills.

  • Confidence in utilising media research and measurement systems (such as Pamco, IPSOS, TGI, and AdIntel).

  • A highly adaptable approach, allowing you to thrive in a changing environment and embrace new opportunities with positivity.

  • Genuine curiosity and an understanding of the vital role newsbrands play in society and the broader media landscape.
