Overview

Sales Manager

Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experience to guests who stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you build strong relationships and create bond with your guests.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day to day of the Reservations and Sales teams, ensuring that weekly, biweekly and monthly targets are followed.
  • Ensure our content and social media KPIs are being met; analyse results of ecommerce campaigns and promotions to ensure investment levels are in line with expected ROIs.
  • Generate new business through marketing initiatives and carry out local research of potential new local business.
  • Maintain records and ensure appropriate follow up with your GM, RSM, and the Accor MICE sales team.
  • Actively manage business bookings and relations with key entertainment clients and sports/football team travel managers.
  • Ensure contracts, pro-forma, credit checks are always issued and followed up on.
  • Represent the hotel in local stakeholder meetings and Accor sales events.
  • Support and lead the Reservations and Sales teams to achieve revenue goals for Groups, MICE and Corporate RFPs.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of industry/travel trends to develop and monitor the hotel’s commercial strategy in conjunction with the GM.
  • Able to make commercial decisions to maximize MICE and Rooms income on a daily basis.
  • Top line forecasting and revenue management.
  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure all deadlines are met for all Groups, MICE & Corporate RFP requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with local clients, direct bookers and agency bookers, building a strong base of new and regular repeat business.
  • Strong knowledge in quoting, converting and managing large group bookings.
  • Experience in a large events-driven compset is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the role would be ideal.
