Job description

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Transformer business as a Sales Manager. You'll be responsible for sales and tendering of Transformers in the UK for the Distribution Network Operators. The role aims to maximize Hitachi’s market potential and opportunities. Responsibilities include visiting potential clients to secure business, agreeing on scope of works, supporting transformer design to ensure value, preparing costings, and updating Hitachi’s sales and marketing tools with visit reports and opportunities.

How you will make an impact:

You will support our Transformer Tendering Engineers in implementing sales and marketing strategies, overseeing sales and tendering activities to drive sales and increase market share. You will take ownership of GTS (Global Target Setting) and MIMO Market Insight, Market Outlook reporting annually. Developing growth plans aligned with business requirements, interfacing with Market Managers, tendering, operations, and technical teams across factories to ensure alignment with capabilities and maximize opportunities to meet client expectations. Effective communication across business areas is essential.
